We are introducing a super handy new way to add work samples to your Authory portfolio. You can now use the Authory Browser Extension and add any article, video, podcast or social media post to your portfolio with a single click. Perfect for anything Authory can’t automatically find and detect, like ghostwritten articles or some paywalled pieces.

You can now add work samples to your portfolio without even logging in.

Why we built this

Authory has always focused on giving you the best tools to showcase and back up your work. And as part of that, Authory is well known for its automated system: We’ll find all your past and future work, and automatically create a portfolio that’s auto-updating with your new pieces, all without you having to do anything.

However, there are some work samples which simply can’t be found and imported automatically. For example, your ghostwritten content (obviously) does not display your byline. Hence, there is no way our system could find a piece and identify it as written by you. The same applies to some paywalled articles, or to many social media posts and videos.

You can already add those kinds of work samples in your portfolio editor by copying and pasting the respective URL. However, we wanted to make things even easier!

Introducing the Authory Browser Extension

With the new browser extension, adding content to your portfolio is a piece of cake:

  • One-click adding: Visit the URL of your work sample and click the extension to add it instantly to your portfolio. After you open the extension, it literally takes a single click to add.
  • Supports all content types: From ghostwritten pieces to social media posts, videos, and podcasts.
  • Handles paywalled content: If you can access it, you can add it (even behind paywalls).
  • No extra login required: As long as you are logged into Authory, the extension works automatically.

This extension is available for Chrome. Firefox, Safari, and Edge will come asap. Give it a try!
