You have two easy ways to add PDFs to your portfolio:

  1. Upload from your device
  2. Import via URL

Here's how both methods work.


Step 1: Open Your Portfolio Editor

Go to your Portfolio Editor.

Click the button labeled "Add Work Samples".

Start by clicking "Add work samples"


Step 2: Select "Import or Upload New Content"

Click Import or upload new content.

Choose PDFs from the list of content types.

Select "PDFs" as a content type.


Step 3: Choose How to Add Your PDF

You have two options here:

1. Option: Upload from Your Device (most common)

  • Click Upload PDFs.
  • Select the PDF file from your computer.
  • Wait for the upload to finish.

2. Option: Import from a URL

  • Paste the URL of the PDF hosted online.
  • Click Add to import directly.
You can upload a PDF or import from a URL.


Step 4: Customize Your PDF Details

After uploading or importing, you can customize:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Source (select an existing source or create a new one)
  • Publication Date

Authory automatically generates a preview thumbnail. You can upload a custom one if you prefer.

Click Continue to save your details.

Customize the preview to your liking.


Step 5: View Your Uploaded PDF

Once saved, your PDF appears immediately on your Authory portfolio with a generated thumbnail preview.

Visitors clicking on the PDF will see a beautifully rendered viewer displaying all pages clearly within Authory.

The PDF will appear as a preview on your public portfolio and open in full if clicked.
