What Is the Content Archive?

Any time you import or upload content to Authory, whether through your Portfolio Editor or while adding to a Collection directly, the content is automatically saved in your Content Archive.

The major advantages of your Content Archive are:

  • It's private: Only you can access your archive
  • It's complete: Every work sample you’ve added is stored here
  • It's actionable: You can organize, move, delete, or archive items freely
All your work samples in a single and private place, easy to search and filter.

Ways to Use the Content Archive

1. Filter and Search Your Work

Use filters to find content by:

  • Source (e.g. Crunchbase News)
  • Content type (articles, podcasts, PDFs, etc.)
  • Date range
  • Keyword search

This makes it easy to analyze your own body of work, whether you’re looking for a specific article or researching a past topic.

Extensive search and filter options so you'll find your work samples in seconds.

2. Add Items to Collections

You can select any number of items from your Content Archive and:

  • Add them to an existing collection
  • Or create a new collection on the spot and assign them to it
Add specific work samples to a collection with a few clicks.

3. Remove Items From Your Portfolio (Without Deleting Them)

Want to clean up your public portfolio but keep a private record?

No problem, you can remove items from collections or your portfolio without deleting them from your Content Archive.

They’ll still be safely stored in your account and can be added back at any time.

4. Permanently Delete Items (If Needed)

To completely remove a piece from your Authory account, just:

  • Select the item in your Content Archive
  • Click Delete

This will remove it from all collections and from your archive permanently.

5. Add Content Directly to the Archive (Without Displaying It Publicly)

If you want to keep a content item for your own records (but don’t want it on your public portfolio right away) you can add it directly to your archive.

Later, you can manually add it to any collection or make it public when you're ready.

Add to the Content Archive without adding to any collection or your portfolio.

That’s It!

Think of your Content Archive as your personal newsroom. It's a fully searchable, private vault of everything you’ve published or uploaded. Whether you're building collections, tracking your past work, or just staying organized, it's all at your fingertips.
