Anne Kenner's work has appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Southwest Review, Boulevard, Salmagundi, Columbia Journal, Raritan, Hippocampus, and New Ohio Review among others, and has been recognized multiple times as Notable in The Best American Essays series. Her playscript, “The Real True Story of Anne Boleyn,” is in development for a 2027 production at San Francisco’s Magic Theatre, and her novella, "Geronimo," was long-listed for the 2025 Fugere Prize. Ms. Kenner's essay collection, "The Lower Layer," was a finalist for the 2023 Jeanne Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award.
