Hi, I’m Alexis Phillips.

I’m a B2B cleantech content writer, editor, and strategist specializing in cleantech, and renewables energy for almost a decade. I’ve partnered with 100+ clean energy companies worldwide—including Aurora Solar, Fluence, EVLO, and Clean Energy Associates—to turn complex technologies into clear, credible content that engages audiences, builds authority, and drives results.

My background is in mechanical engineering, and I have my Master’s in Renewable Energy Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona and Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. Before founding Renewable Writing LLC in 2021, I was a project manager for solar microgrid and cleantech startups' engineering teams, providing valuable real-world experience in the energy industry.

As for my personal life, I come from four generations of Pennsylvania mushroom farmers, which shaped my entrepreneurship mindset and love for sustainability. I'm currently based in Costa Rica with my husband and Shepsky Artemis. I chose this tropical paradise for the adventure, pura vida lifestyle, pristine nature and wildlife, friendly people, and for being one of the first countries to run 100% on renewable energy.

My passions include hiking, scuba diving, snowboarding, tennis, and travel. So far, I've explored 35 countries while living in 5 of them (Spain, Portugal, Myanmar, Costa Rica, and USA). When I'm not writing, you can find me outside enjoying the very nature I'm so passionate about protecting for future generations.
