My Focus - Multi-Species Bioregional Regeneration:
My writing connects two subjects that rarely appear together: bioregional regeneration and the dismantling of speciesism within it. Our relationships with other species are highly dysfunctional and in urgent need of repair. How we should live among other life forms and living matter, as neighbours, watershed-sharers, ecosystem-members, remains underdeveloped thinking. Bioregional regeneration isn't solely a human project that happens to contain other animals; it's a wide, varied community of life forms with equal stakes in the land, water, and living systems they share. I call this reframing multi-species bioregional regeneration, and it's what my work is focused on.
