In 2025 Charles Monroe-Kane (along with sculptor Brian Goggin and photographer Emile Holba) was the artist-in-resident at the LLU Art & Science Hub in Illulissat, Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). The interviews he conducted with the Greenlandic Inuit people in Illulissat were part of the "Climate Narratives" project from the University of Bergen in Norway.

In a memoir that blends engaging charm with unflinching frankness, Monroe-Kane gives his testimony of mental illness, drug abuse, faith, and love. By the end of Lithium Jesus there may be a voice in your head, too.

Charles Monroe-Kane's book is called, "Lithium Jesus: A Memoir of Mania."
