Caitlyn is a digital media, SEO and newsletters strategist with more than a decade of online journalism experience. Shelton currently works for NewsNation, where she writes the flagship "Your Morning" newsletter, manages the website's homepage and specializes in audience engagement. She joined NewsNation in 2022 as a digital content producer, where she helped expand NewsNation’s viewership on digital platforms by featuring elements from “Dan Abrams Live," "CUOMO," "The Hill on NewsNation," "Banfield," "Elizabeth Vargas Reports" and "On Balance with Leland Vittert” on NewsNation’s website and YouTube page.
Prior to that, she worked as a digital content producer for WZTV in Nashville, Tennessee. During her time in Music City, she enjoyed producing original stories in her home state, developing digital content strategies and interviewing country music stars like Dolly Parton at red carpet events.
She also worked as the executive producer of digital content for WVLT in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she managed the station’s digital platforms and covered the 2016 wildfires in the Great Smoky Mountains. While in Knoxville, she also worked as an assignment editor overseeing strategic content plans and field producing extensive event coverage like the celebration of life for legendary coach Pat Summitt.
When she’s not at work, she's likely cheering on the Tennessee Vols, looking for the best barbecue joints or spending time on her family’s farm.
