In 2024, my creative network was reaching a critical mass. I decided to invite everyone to catch up together. This turned into an audio-sharing potluck of soundscapes, radio features, experimental music, and physical audio installations.

I now run Audio Potluck, which offers community-building and educational events for local sound artists and documentary makers (including myself ;-p ) to inspire and collaborate with each other.

Audio Potluck events currently fall into the following categories:

Show-and-tells, where potluckers bring an audio or video file to share (or snacks and good cheer). It's the kind of Sunday afternoon event where we sit in a circle and listen to rough drafts and unpublished experiments. All levels and interests are welcome.
Collaborations, where we organize into one or more teams to tackle short challenges such as Sonic Dash, Audio Flux, and the 48 Hour Film Project. Regardless of how well we do in the external competition, we celebrate our creations with the full potluck community at a well-timed Show-and-tell.
Workshops, for people who want specific hands-on learning experiences, such as how to make narrative audio features, do tape syncs, or unlock making non-narrative audio art.
Audio Bash, which are public events that showcase audio installations and experimental narrative and artistic performances, inspired by Sound Scene and the D.C. Listening Lounge.

Our events are all free, and typically take place in people's homes and DIY studios. Our community and programming is growing, and I am looking for creative audio spaces to partner with, such as local radio stations and intentional listening collectives.
