A Bay Area-based freelance writer, Kate (she/they) was nominated for a 2022 LA Press Club National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award.

Their short-form fiction and other writing has appeared in journals such as Portland Review, Exposition Review, Emerson Review, and Lambda Literary’s Emerge magazine, and on SFGATE, Screen Rant, GameRant, CBR, and Ask.com.

Kate holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of San Francisco and a BFA in Writing, Literature & Publishing from Emerson College. In 2018, she was a Lambda Literary Emerging LGBTQ Voices Fellow.
