Jowi Morales is a writer and journalist who primarily covers technology. He writes about the latest in the industry, covering various topics including consumer electronics, like PC hardware, gaming consoles, smartphones, monitors, peripherals, and other accessories, data centers developments and their impact on the community, and even the effects of international relations and geopolitics on technology.

He started his career in tech journalism in 2021 with MakeUseOf.com, where he wrote news, features, and reviews. He joined SlashGear and Tom's Hardware in 2024, before writing features for Laptop Mag the following year. By 2026, Jowi is actively working with three publications: SlashGear, Tom's Hardware, and BGR.

While he started writing about tech in the early 2020s, his interest in it started decades before that. He started exploring computers with a Windows 95 PC. However, his first real experience in attempting to troubleshoot a problem happened in the year 2000, when he deleted the C:\Windows folder in an attempt to free up space on the family computer. This botched attempt led to the complete crash of the PC, forcing his dad to buy a new one. Since then, he learned a lot more about computers, and he’s now the go-to tech expert for his family and friends.

Aside from covering technology, he also writes stories and features about automobiles, aviation, photography, and, occasionally, military technology. Before becoming a full-time writer, Jowi's career took him across various industries, including banking, pharmaceuticals, photography, insurance, and aviation.
