Ellie Hall's groundbreaking reporting on ISIS has been cited in three congressional hearings and more than 50 academic papers. She is the only journalist in the world to have identified not one but two women who left their lives in the United States to join ISIS, one of whom was the now-infamous Hoda Muthana, whose interview with Ellie has since become a seminal document in counterterrorism studies. Her extensive coverage of ISIS's use of social media to recruit and spread propaganda stands alone in the field of reporting on the terrorist group.
