Hi, I'm Sage—writer, editor, and founder of Sage’s Pages.
I created Sage’s Pages to help authors and arts and culture organizations harness the power of storytelling to strengthen their messaging and align it with their mission. If you’re preparing to query your novel, running an arts program, or growing a grassroots nonprofit, I can help fine-tune your work so that it is well-received. I believe that a story is more than a final product—storytelling is a strategy. And the process of crafting it should be just as thoughtful and inspiring as the outcome.
Why Work With Me?
In 2020, I earned a degree in Integrated English Studies from Western Oregon University, a unique program that blended literature, writing, and linguistics. That’s where my fascination with sociolinguistics began—especially how language shapes representation and power. During my master’s in journalism, I dove deep into media literacy, gendered language, and inclusive storytelling. My thesis explored how language can either “other” or include—and how newsrooms can use words more consciously.
Later, after interning twice with Macmillan and freelancing for both them and a literary agency, I discovered a deep love for editing and championing authors' voices. Living on the West Coast, however, showed me how limited access can be for creatives outside major publishing hubs. That insight sparked the mission behind Sage’s Pages: to bring accessible, affordable editorial services to authors and organizations in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. To that end, I offer a permanent 10% discount to all authors and businesses operating out of the PNW.
What I Offer
I bring more than six years of experience in editorial and communications, including work on multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns, large-scale event programs, and, of course, books. I specialize in:

A Little More About Me
Outside of editing, I’m a devoted animal lover, gardener, concert-goer, and animation fan. I’m always chasing the next great gluten-free lox bagel and lavender matcha, and I lovingly nurture what I call my “inner goblin”—that part of me that delights in cozy corners, good stories, and little curiosities.
