Hi, I'm Sadaf Tokhi -
a journalist and senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst graduating in December 2026. I’ve reported for the Boston Globe’s Metro desk and New Hampshire Public Radio, covering everything from breaking news and public policy to immigration, education and community stories. Whether a story begins at the local, state, national or international level, I’m most interested in finding where it becomes personal — and telling the stories of the people living through its impact.

I’m also Afghan-American and a fluent Pashto speaker with experience in print, digital and audio reporting, including field reporting, broadcast production and multimedia storytelling. I’m especially drawn to community-centered and enterprise reporting that makes complicated issues accessible and brings underrepresented perspectives into the larger conversation. As I prepare to graduate, I’m looking for my next opportunity to keep reporting, learning and telling stories that help people better understand their communities and the world around them.
