Hello! I'm Rachel, or Rach (she/they). I'm a freelance marketer and copywriter within the arts, charity and education sectors. Having worked for prestigious academic publishers and in specialist email marketing and CRM roles, I offer consultancy and execution that blends my creative and technical skills. I can competently manage campaigns, build and optimise messaging, and craft actionable copy that delivers against KPIs.

I have a proven track record of engaging audiences, raising metrics, and delivering new business for clients including the BFI, Into Film, American Chemical Society, Shape History, and data consultancy Cynozure. Achievements include having campaign copy recognised in the Big Screen Awards, helping organisations resolve data protection compliance issues, and crafting automated journeys that deliver measurable results.

I also have extensive experience writing and editing cultural journalism, and have been commissioned by publications including Little White Lies and the Independent Cinema Office blog. I also write poetry and creative non-fiction, and have writing published or forthcoming in City Lit anthology Between the Lines, Bi Women Quarterly, Penstricken, and Thorn & Bloom Magazine. In 2025, I won the creative non-fiction prize of the South Warwickshire Literary Festival.

I seek creatively fulfilling projects that use and develop my existing skill set, while rewarding my cultural interests and social justice passions. I'm based in Hackney, London, and available for remote and hybrid work.
