I'm Priya Konings, a freelance food and travel writer and photographer who loves to explore the world. My passions include writing and photography, traveling the world, and eating delicious vegetarian fare locally and wherever my travels take me. I was bitten by the travel bug at just six months old, when my parents took me on my first adventure.
Since then, I have been wine tasting in Tuscany, hiking in Macchu Picchu, glamping in the Sahara, and hot air ballooning in Cappadoccia. I've seen the sun rise over the Himalayas and set over Mont Blanc. Some of my favorite memories include eating tacos from a street food stand in Mexico City with friends, sampling fresh arepas in Cartagena with my husband, and indulging in pisco sours in Lima with my sister.
Having visited more than 70 countries, I can provide advice on where to go, what to do, and everything to eat! I currently live in Washington D.C. with my husband and our two adorable cats.
