Developed a successful freelance journalism career, writing for print and web publications primarily in the fields of sports, business and economic development, education, and healthcare. Current clients include Georgia Trend (Morris Communications), Notable Line, Bookhouse Group, and Georgia Tech. Past clients include Major League Baseball, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, How Stuff Works, The Newton Magazine, and more.

• Selected as a Higher Education Media Fellow, Fall 2021 cohort (Institute for Citizens & Scholars). The Fellowship focuses attention on issues related to postsecondary Career and Technical Education (CTE), and encourages journalists in the reporting and publishing of these stories. Since 2022, I served as a member of the Higher Education Media Fellowship Advisory Committee, primarily assisting with planning and development of the annual convening and in the selection of the next cohort of Fellows.

• Served as Senior Editor of Site Selection magazine and as a contributing writer for publications produced by Conway’s Custom Content division.

• Worked as a content creator on the marketing team at East West Manufacturing, an Atlanta-based contract manufacturing, design, and distribution company. I created content for the company's blog, managed social media accounts, and shared the company's story through media outlets.

• Co-authored the memoir “A Way Out: Faith, Hope and the Love of the Game," along with Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Billy Wagner. (Ampelon Publishing, 2013).
