As a commerce editor, I dove deep into SEO best practices, hands-on testing, and combing through online reviews to create buying guides on everything from pillows and reclining sofas to olive oil and maternity Halloween costumes. At Domino, I also launched a monthly “Cool Kids” column, produced best-seller roundups, Amazon spotlights, and gift guides galore (think: under-$25 steals, last-minute Mother’s Day saviors, and more) all while hitting short- and long-term revenue goals.

As a former deals writer, sniffing out the serious steal from a mediocre markdown of is second nature, but I equally love chatting with designers about renovation tricks, product launches, and what’s next in interiors.

Before that, I dedicated three years to Floor Covering Weekly, a Hearst-owned trade publication, where I learned the ins and outs of hardwood, rugs, and tile (yes, I can even wax poetic about vinyl, though it's my least favorite). I regularly reported from industry conferences, profiled CEOs, and covered breaking news events (tarriffs, anyone?), while also running the brand’s social media accounts and growing its Instagram presence from 1,000 to 5,000+ followers in just a few months.

At the start of it all, my career kicked off with internships at nonprofits like the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum and the U.S. Green Building Council, providing me with a solid baseline knowledge of marketing and communications. I even did a stint in PR before branching into media full-time. And because I like to flex my creative muscles, I’ve built a budding side hustle in photography and video to boot.
