About

Step into the living world with me—a photographer and writer dedicated to exploring the unique relationship between humans and animals.

My mission is to enhance our understanding of the special bond we have with our companion animals, advocate for their well-being, and cultivate a deeper empathy with all living things.

I have travelled the globe, exploring more than 70 countries on six continents, and have developed a deep understanding of the history, culture, and stories that shape our world.

With a degree in special needs education and years of experience working with

animals and children in care, I have a passion for animal-assisted learning. Pets have a way of helping us understand ourselves better and develop a compassionate way of communicating.

Through my work with the Red Cross Relief Preparedness and experience in teaching, marketing, and public speaking, I have gained valuable insights into how we learn and what it takes to create positive change.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to strengthening our connection with nature and the world around us. As the owner of Aaleyah Black Arabians, an Arabian stud with ten horses living a natural and free life, I am dedicated to promoting animal welfare and sharing the latest research with pet guardians.

We live in a diverse world, and we need difficult conversations that bring together perspectives from different views by sharing the latest evidence-based equestrian research. Together, we can make a positive impact and create a good life for our companion animals.
