Freelance writer/editor, adjunct communications professor
From her first staff byline about a senior center synchronized swimming show for the Needham Times in Massachusetts, Melissa Delaney has covered a lot of ground. She's followed a technology entrepreneur to Angkor Wat, tracked the downfall of Enron and put on a good 10 pounds sampling Austin's trailer cuisine, all in the name of journalism.
These days, Melissa is an award-winning freelance writer and adjunct professor at the College of Charleston. Since earning her master's in journalism at Northeastern University, she has served as editor in chief of Austin Monthly and Austin Monthly Home magazines, assistant business editor and feature writer at Computerworld, reporter at the MetroWest Daily News and editor of The Brookline TAB and Dover-Sherborn Press.
