Any pro will tell you that there is a brunch to suit every occasion in Abu Dhabi. You've got sessions where it's all fun and games (and usually involve a pool); sittings all about treating your taste buds and stretching your belt buckle to the…

With TVs galore and a mega screen on the outside terrace, Belgian Café doesn’t let you down when it comes to having all angles covered as a sports bar. But to define it as just that, is doing it a disservice. Despite needing a bit of a face-lift,…

Little did I know when I had left my recliner seat in screen seven at Omniplex Salthill on Thursday October 1 that it would be my last cinema experience for the foreseeable future as a level three lockdown was enforced the next Tuesday. But like most…

My two previous experiences of New Zealand independent cinema, the excellent, hard-hitting, Once Were Warriors and the fun Hunt for the Wilderpeople, were ones I thoroughly enjoyed so when I saw the trailer for Sam Kelly's directorial debut, Savage,…

First of all, how good is it to be back in the cinema, watching movies on the big screen? In my humble opinion, so good. Yes it was my first outing to the pictures since the beginning of the pandemic and just to to sit in one of the Omniplex…

My mother and father love an auld reminisce about the good old days. When life was more simple, people spoke to each other in pubs and restaurants, and people lived their lives in the moment as opposed to trying to document it on the various social…

When it comes to games, I like to know that I will get my money's worth in terms of gameplay time before purchasing. There is nothing worse than when you part with your hard earned cash and the game is completed within four hours of hitting the start…

Having never played the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, I have to say I was quite excited to get my hands on the game which some say turned the Call Of Duty franchise into the behemoth that it is today, leaving its rivals lagging far behind,…
