I’ve been a journalist for over ten years. I wrote my first article at the age of 16 and since then, I’ve been a reporter, a a columnist, an investigator, a feature writer and a magazine editor for the Westminster Abbey Review. My work has appeared in the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Mirror, the New Statesman, Time, the Big Issue and the Huffington Post, and as a religion specialist, I have bylines in the Church Times, the Tablet, the Catholic Herald, the Religion Media Centre and Religion Unplugged.
I’ve also undertaken investigative work, which has included digging into how students in London have been forced to undertake sex work to survive the cost of living crisis, the ways the Church of England dodges employment law, and the use of crypto by the religious right in both the US and UK. All this can be found in my portfolio.
As a culture writer, I have interviewed major public figures such as playwright Alan Bennett, comedian Frank Skinner and record producer Steve Lillywhite. After starting work as a freelancer for rock band U2’s official website, I started my own substack about the band which can be found here.
Recently I’ve branched out into becoming a ghostwriter for bespoke memoir company StoryTerrace, where I record exciting life stories and turn them into beautiful-looking books. I also work as a screenplay analyst for a number of major film festivals, including Sundance, New York’s Hamptons festival and the Austin Film Festival.
I assist script writers and authors on a one-on-one capacity and am always interested in working with new storytellers itching to make their ideas the best they can be.
