What I Cover

I focus on how federal policy impacts South Carolinians, particularly in the Upstate. I've written about everything from national elections to immigration to health care. I also contribute to our paper's general assignment coverage in Spartanburg.

My Background

I have been a journalist since 2019, writing for local newspapers in Texas and the Carolinas. I came to The Post and Courier in 2023 through Report for America, a national service program that places emerging journalists into local newsrooms across the country to report on under-covered issues. Previously at The Greenville News I helped author the award-winning "Cost of Unity" project about gentrification and racial justice.

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I am a graduate of Appalachian State University, where I studied journalism. When I am not writing, you can find me out on a run.
