Lori-Ann Livingston is a writer and editor who first trained as a journalist. She worked for newspapers in the UK and southwestern Ontario before she went to work in communications in the public sector for 12 years. During that time, she also founded and ran an arts-based storytelling festival. She has been published in Broadview Magazine, Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail and Alternatives Journal, among others.
She is a documenter of the ordinary, and from 2020-2022, documented the Covid-19 pandemic through a daily journal of nearly 700 days, and photographs taken on her walks around the city's neighbourhoods. She lives in Kitchener with her family, Ranger the cat and Mack the dog.
