I'm Liv Elizondo! I'll be getting my bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2026 and am looking to further my growth and experience post-grad in a sports communications position.

I have always been passionate about writing, and I have always been passionate about sports. I played many different sports through elementary school to high school, and eventually accepted that I just wasn't very good at any of them. At UT, I was able to find my niche. Focusing my studies and experiences on sports, I wrote for three semesters at one of the oldest and most highly-regarded student papers in the country, The Daily Texan.

At the Texan, I was able to expand my knowledge of sports and sports journalism, focusing on tennis, swimming and diving, and football. I further split my time between school and the Texan by joining Austin FC as a communications intern, where a new and more prominent passion found me.

Working within a Club (or team) gave me a sense of belonging that is hard to feel when looking from the outside in, as many journalists do. Getting to highlight the club's peaks and organize how that would be presented to the world was by far my favorite part of the job. In my time with Austin FC, I was able to confidently and ardently assist in conveying their identity and message.
