Hi, I’m Kelsey Stalvey!
After earning my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Pacific University in Oregon, I completed a Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida, where I went on to spend seven years as a clinical pharmacist. Since relocating to Washington, I’ve continued practicing as a clinical pharmacist in home infusion, expanding my experience across acute and ambulatory care, sterile compounding, complex medication management, and patient education.
Alongside my clinical career, I’m a freelance medical writer and reviewer with several years of experience translating complex medical information into clear, accurate, and engaging content. My work spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, rare disease, neurology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and more. I regularly evaluate clinical guidelines, primary literature, and emerging evidence to create patient-friendly educational content that is both accessible and medically sound.
One of my favorite parts of medical writing is taking a topic that feels overwhelming or highly technical and making it genuinely useful to the person reading it. My clinical background helps me understand the science, while my writing experience has taught me how to communicate it without sacrificing accuracy.
In my (little) free time, I love to read, travel to the mountains, and spend time with my twin boys.
If you’re looking for a medical writer who brings both clinical expertise and a strong understanding of patient-centered communication, let’s connect. I’d love to hear more about your project and how I can help.
