This project rethinks the purity of traditional printmaking surfaces upon which artists portray their images. In collaboration with the papermaker studio Atelier Retailles, we will create a paper embedded with the Algonquin Anishinaabe four sacred medicines. Using this paper, we will print images of Gage Roberts’ body using intaglio copper etching techniques. The final print will then be shown in two exhibitions, first in November 2025 (Atelier Circulaire) and second in December 2025 (Atelier Retailles), both in Montreal.
