Hello! I'm an award-winning freelance space journalist from the UK, currently based in Bangkok, that writes for The New York Times, the BBC, Scientific American, Quanta, New Scientist, WIRED, and many other publications.
My coverage spans all areas of space including astronomy, astrophysics, commercial spaceflight, and space exploration. I dabble in other areas too including physics and technology.
In July 2024, I was awarded British Science Journalist of the Year by the Association of British Science Writers (ABSW). In December 2021, I was awarded the AGU's Walter Sullivan Award For Excellence In Science Journalism – Features.
I have worked on a series of non-fiction children’s books and I'm interested in other potential book projects in future. I'm also occasionally on the TV or radio as a space expert for the BBC and other organisations.
I have two wonderful children, and am very much enjoying our new adventure in Southeast Asia with my partner.
If you would like to enquire about a media appearance or a commission for work, feel free to get in touch.
