I am a licensed psychotherapist with a Ph.D in International Health and Master’s degree in Social Work. My passion is to help men and their families do four things:

1. Live a fully authentic life.

2. Love deeply and well.

3. Learn to survive and thrive in the post Covid-19 era.

4. Heal our disconnections and make a positive difference in the world.

I help men to fully embrace their maleness and to recognize that male and female health and well-being are opposite sides of the same coin and must be worked on together.

I help women understand why men feel what they feel and do what they do, so they can have the most loving and connecting relationship with the men in their lives.

My wife attributes our successful 40 year-marriage to the fact that I have been in a men’s group for 41 years.

For 50 years, I have been a pioneer in the field of gender-specific medicine and men’s health, culminating with the publication of my 16th book, 12 Rules for Good Men.

My work has been featured in major newspapers throughout the United States including the New York Times, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and USA Today. I have been featured on more than 1,000 radio and T.V. programs including The View with Barbara Walters, Good Morning America, Today Show, CNN-360 with Anderson Cooper, CNN with Glenn Beck, CBS, NBC, and Fox News, and To Tell the Truth. I also did a nationally televised special on Male Menopause for PBS-TV.

I live with my wife, Carlin, in Willits, California. We are proud parents of five grown children and seventeen grandchildren.
