The final phase of the Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog Event in Genshin Impact has started on December 13, with the Recognition Quest that will most notably ask you to find Ryuuji at its beginning.
After triggering the Recognition quest and talking with Sango at her agency, she will ask you to go and find Ryuuji as you know have all the clues to finish the case.
Keep in mind this final quest, Bantan Sango Case File: Recognition, will only trigger if you’ve cleared the previous phases of the Event. Be sure to check our dedicated guides if you need help to save the small animals in Mystery of the Black Shadow and Stealthy Trail.

Where to find Ryuuji and talk to him in Genshin Impact Event quest Bantan Sango Case File: Recognition
After speaking with Sango, she’ll indicate in your map that Ryuuji is somewhere in Higi Village on Yashiori Island. He’s actually pretty easy to spot if you reach the village from the Statue of the Seven, but you might miss him otherwise. You’ll find Ryuuji right at that point in the map. Go near him to trigger a cutscene and the next happenings of the Event. There’s most notably a boss fight of sorts, the Event’s boss fight, which we’ll cover in a separate guide.
Here’s a map screenshot of Ryuuji’s location
The Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog Event will keep going until December 20, 2021. It’s a pretty long Event so don’t wait until the final day to rush everything.
