HOW IT STARTED

It was a hot, summer day in Iowa...wait, that's going back too far. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a business minor thrown in for good measure, I got my start at a CBS-affiliate in Sacramento, CA. Within a year, I was promoted from Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Writer/Producer. In a trial-by-fire learning environment, I quickly fell in love with the high-paced, creative (and at times, downright nutty) world of television news. To keep my 'feet wet' after leaving to raise my kids, I began freelance writing for local publications and did stints as a marketing consultant for area businesses.

HOW IT'S GOING

I specialize in creating and editing content for small businesses. You name it, I've done it (when it comes to writing, that is). Email newsletters, blogs (with those SEO-friendly words we like), social media, website copy, product descriptions, magazine articles, print collateral, scripts and press releases. It makes me positively giddy to edit existing copy (you should know I've been called Eagle Eyes), refresh websites and work with graphic designers to make it all POP.

Not all copywriters are created equal! I offer a killer combo of journalistic ability and marketing perspective. With me, not only will the words on the page convince readers they need your business, we'll also work together to determine what is working (and what is not) in your current digital strategy.
