David Kolodny is an entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Wilbur Labs, a startup studio turning bold ideas into market-leading companies. David specializes in identifying market opportunities, designing scalable solutions, and building high-growth businesses from zero to one.

Wilbur Labs and Venture Building:
Since co-founding Wilbur Labs in 2016 with Phil Santoro, David has helped lead the studio’s strategy and company-building process. Wilbur Labs has launched and invested in more than 21 companies across the ecommerce, travel, pet care, and recruitment sectors. Notable portfolio companies include VacationRenter, which became the fastest-growing travel startup to surpass $1 billion in annual gross bookings, and Barkbus, now the largest mobile dog-grooming company in the United States. David continues to work closely with founders across the portfolio on strategy, growth, and long-term operating discipline.

David shares insights on startups, entrepreneurship, and company scaling. He is a contributor to Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, and Entrepreneur Magazine, and hosts the Wilbur Labs Founder FAQ series, where he answers common questions from entrepreneurs.

Early Career and Prior Ventures:
Before Wilbur Labs, David worked at Google from 2013 to 2016 as a Product Specialist.

David Kolodny graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Personal:
Born and raised in Los Angeles, David currently lives in Miami, Florida, with his wife, Emily, and their children, Ellis and Cy.
