I'm a Tomatometer-Approved Film Culture Critic, Journalist, Podcaster, YouTuber, and avid live-tweeter. My published work can be found on multiple online publications such as MediaVersity Reviews, JoySauce.com, the Korean Film Council's film magazine, and KCrush America Magazine, as its official freelance film correspondent. I'm a proud member of the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA).
As a writer, critic and journalist I see my work as a way to discuss how culture and film influence each other and intersect. Film is a terrific medium as a learning tool as much as it is for entertainment. and for me the two go hand in hand. I'm the proud creator, producer, and host of Carolyn Talks..., my YouTube and podcast channels where I speak to film creatives from around the world about what inspires them as artists and storytellers, Beyond The Romance Drama Podcast, and co-host of #SaturdayNightSciFi, a weekly digital social film discussion event.
Though new episodes are no longer being produced, So Here's What Happened! Podcast is one of my proudest achievements and adventures as the first podcast I produced and co-founded and hosted.
