YouTuber race team with Jimmy Broadbent and Super GT gets new Fanatec sponsorship for NLS 2026 campaign at the Nürburgring - Review - Industry | XSReviews

Popular YouTube sim racing content creators Jimmy Broadbent and Steve “Super GT” Alvarez Brown have just announced their next real-life racing campaign, as part of a Fanatec-branded Black Falcon race team. The pair, joined by fellow content creator and Nürburgring specialist Misha Charoudin, will compete at the The Green Hell in the NLS 2026 season in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup Car.

That represents a significant step up in performance terms over the trio’s previous efforts, which began in 2023 with a Bilstein sponsorship of a heavily modified BMW 330i and progressed in 2024 to a now iconic blue-and-yellow BMW M4 GT4 racecar. The new GT3 is significantly more advanced machinery with a leap in competition to match, and it will be fascinating to see how the group fares.

The move makes a lot of sense for Fanatec too, which was acquired by Corsair following various logistic and cash-flow issues in 2024. The sim racing business outwardly looks revitalised, with new product releases and improvements to a lot of long-standing pain points, so sponsoring some of the best known sim racing creatives is a logical choice.

Broadbent and Brown have both been sponsored by Fanatec in the past too, though those deals fell by the wayside in favour of competitors Moza and Simagic, respectively. It looks like Super GT will be swapping back to Fanatec equipment as part of the deal, though it’s not clear if Jimmer will follow suit.

The team’s first race will be on March 14th with NLS Race 1, with the Nürburgring 24 hour race running from May 14th to 17th. You can find out more at the Fanatec announcement blog or the full press release.
