3 portals offering website content services

Upwork

Upwork is an extremely well-known online marketplace for freelancers — writers, designers, developers, and much more. The site is set up to help freelancers find clients and gigs with a couple of clicks.

If you are just starting out with little or no experience in content creation or content marketing, this is a great platform to find clients without having to do cold pitches. Whatever your niche — blog writing, content for web pages, or landing pages, you'll find relevant clients on this platform.

If you are a writer, be aware that Upwork will take a certain percentage of your earnings, depending on your income. It's usually around 10%, so factor that into your pricing.

Fiverr

Fiverr is best known for giving employers access to cost-effective freelance services. You can post jobs and find freelancers for $5 — which is where the platform name comes from.

Obviously, $5 is peanuts, but you can also find jobs paying much higher. However, the $5 jobs are best to begin with if you need experience and work samples to showcase on your portfolio.

You can hire freelancers for everything from search engine optimization to digital marketing, blog posts, graphic design, translation, animation, video editing, and more.

Crowd Content

Crowd Content allows employers and clients to find affordable, high-quality content quickly.

You sign up and fill details into a one-page order form by answering a few simple questions. Depending on your marketing strategy, you specify the type of content required. You can mention content tone, keywords, and other essentials. The information will be viewed by qualified writers and crafted within the promised time. Clients can use instant chat to interact and request revisions.

For pricing, the website offers a calculator, so you can see beforehand how much you'd have to pay for the type of content you want.

Looking to create an attention-grabbing writing portfolio that pairs substance with style? Authory can help.

When you sign up for an Authory account (for free), you get the following:

A self-updating portfolio (no need to keep adding new work manually)

Authory will AUTOMATICALLY import a copy of every bylined piece from every site into its own database. You don't have to track down links to your published work (especially older pieces). As long as you remember the URL of the site where your work exists, Authory will collate all your content for you in one dashboard. Authory can import content from behind most soft paywalls (as long as it is a bylined piece) and some hard paywalls.

All the content that Authory imports from different sources is saved permanently. Even if the original website where it's published goes defunct for any reason, you'll always have a copy safely stored on Authory's server.

Continued importing of past and future content (less effort for a 100% updated portfolio)

Once you enter a source, Authory won't just import your existing publications. Anything you publish on the same site (after you've fed its URL into Authory) in the future will also be imported automatically.

Apart from these, you also get a slew of miscellaneous but necessary features:

Ability to search through both your portfolio and your content database to find articles/audio/videos based on keywords. Prospective employers and hiring managers can use this to look for topics on your portfolio, and you can use it to find specific pieces within your Authory content bank.
Ability to create a custom domain with a click.
Get a custom domain and personalize your online writing portfolio even further.
Multiple, low-effort options for customization to make your portfolio visually appealing and easy to navigate.
In-built analytics that provide real numbers on content performance (engagement, readership) across the web and popular social media sites every 30 days.

Get started with Authory for free and see for yourself what works for you!
