writer: art | design | architecture | landscape | places
Throughout the 1990s, I was a freelance design and arts journalist, a regular reviewer for the arts pages of Time Out, contributing editor to the acclaimed graphic design journal Eye, contributor to the architecture magzaine Blueprint, and published in The Guardian, The Times and the Financial Times, among other publications.
From writing about architecture, my career moved into built environment policy, including working as a director at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), then specialising in the links between places and health (see: www.linkedin.com/in/juliathrift/).
I continue to write and edit and am happy to take on commissions.
