Your Social Media Impact shows you how often your articles have been shared/interacted with on social media by ANY account, not just when posted from your own social media accounts.

This makes the analytics an incredibly valuable source for you to understand how your content performs on social media, and it sets the Authory Analytics apart from social media analytics that you get from services such as Hootsuite or Buffer: They can tell you how successful your own posts sharing your content are, Authory can tell you how often your content was mentioned by anybody on social media in general.

Example: If in your Authory account, you see that an article of yours has 3 tweets, 12 Facebook shares, 2 Facebook comments and 5 Facebook likes, then this means that your article has received that many tweets, shares, comments and likes by anybody on Twitter and Facebook.

What metrics does Authory report?

We can tell you how often your articles have been shared on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.

How often are the metrics updated?

All metrics are updated periodically and as a rule of thumb, the more recent a content item is, the more often its social media metrics will be updated. As a matter of fact, the metrics for new content will be updated every few hours while metrics for older content will be updated every few days.

Does Authory check social media mentions for older content as well?

Yes! We check all of the content that is in your Authory account continuously, no matter how old it is. The more recent content will just be checked more often for mentions on social media (see above).
