At Night of Champions Christ Comes through

By Zachery James Evans • Issue #36 • View online

God did a miracle…Night of Champions was a night to remember. After an introduction of FCA staff, a Christian hip hop artist performing and a great testimony from Pastor Greg Smith it was truly an amazing night. However, the most amazing thing was the response to the message by Darryl Jones. Darryl Jones related to the young athletes due to him being a football player with the Miami Hurricanes. He even asked everyone what position he played and gave out a prize for the student athletes! It was very cool to see God at work and when the altar call was made, it seemed like the whole team went up. Well, the majority of the teams went up, 72 players and a coach gave their lives to Christ. There were definitely more people standing and praying than sitting and all the glory goes to God for doing a work in these kid’s lives, and a coach’s life as well. At another Night of Champions at the south campus, 40 students were saved and two coaches. So overall, 112 student athletes and 3 coaches gave their lives to Christ! What a great ministry FCA is and what a great impact it continues to be in the life of these student athletes and coaches.
