Hi, you don't know me, but I'm seriously obsessed with iced coffee.
No, really, it's a problem.
I will drink it in the middle of winter and be totally okay with that. Will I be freezing? Yes, absolutely. Will I risk frostbite for the sound of ice clanking against my cold bean water? You betcha.
However, making coffee at home has been a pain. I currently use my Nespresso to make, well, espresso, and then I *used* to pour it over ice to make it cold. This resulted in watered-down coffee.
Well not anymore, friends!
I discovered the Hyper Chiller, and I promptly asked myself how I, a person who loves iced coffee, have spent so long not knowing this existed.
^^^ Me to my Hyper Chiller.
Get the Hyper Chiller on Amazon for $24.99.
This nifty gadget works by having multiple compartments that screw in together to make one cold beverage-making concoction.
There's a teeny tiny one you fill with water to the line indicated, a slightly larger one that holds whatever hot beverage you're trying to convert into iced goodness, and then an even larger container (the whole thing, basically) that holds more water.
Once you have all the water added, you pop it in the freezer and (the worst part, honestly) wait it out. When it's fully frozen, you're ready to make your drink cold!
To prove that the drink is colder, I have graciously provided a photo of how stinkin' hot my espresso is after being brewed. A whopping 140 degrees!
Then, you just need to pour the coffee into the Hyper Chiller. Once it's poured in, you have two options: let it sit and wait a few minutes for it to get cold *or* swirl it in your hand (pictured in the gif) for 60 seconds. Usually, I end up leaving it on the counter while I make my cold foam or prepare my cup with my syrup of choice and ice.
For the sake of this experiment, I poured it into an empty glass (sans ice) so we can measure the temperature now after swirling it — and look at that: 44 degrees!
It's a caffeinated miracle! Or just science. *puts on science robe* This works by using both walls of frozen water to rapidly change the temperature of the liquid in the middle.
Here's a neat diagram of how it looks from the inside:

Science rules!
While we're at it, here's some *very* excited reviewers sharing their thoughts on the Hyper Chiller:
"Obsessed with this thing! I only drink iced coffee, so I have spent years brewing my coffee the night before to have chilled coffee in the morning. With this chiller, I can place it directly under my Keurig and go from hot brewed coffee to chilled coffee in less than 2 minutes (after brewing). I love that I can have iced coffee whenever I want now. Absolutely worth the $25! It’s easy to clean as well." —JB
"I use this for coffee, tea, and alcohol, and it's made my life so much easier. My preference is always iced coffee over hot, but it's hard to do iced coffee without it getting watered down or taking forever. I usually just drink coffee at the Starbucks where I work, but the easiness of the hyper chiller has me drinking it at home much more often. It cools really fast, rarely taking the full 60 seconds that are recommended. This is one of my favorite coffee tools, and the instructions made it easy to put together." —Sarah Larson
So what are you waiting for? If you want frigid iced coffee without watering it down, you absolutely *need* this Hyper Chiller! Available for $24.99 on Amazon!
Cheers, my lovely caffeinated friends!
