The House Democrats’ campaign arm on Thursday announced a new initiative designed to “push back against false narratives and tout key accomplishments,” according to a news release.

The initiative, titled “In It Together,” includes websites in seven different languages: English, Hindi, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said on Thursday.

The websites share downloadable content and talking points for various subject matters, like cost of living, health care and the economy.

“In It Together is a hub filled with content that you can download and share on a variety of platforms from social media to family Whatsapp and WeChat groups. It’s up to all of us to take back the House so Democrats can continue putting our communities first,” the English version of the website reads.

According to DCCC spokesperson José Muñoz, “providing content in multiple languages that is easy to share with friends, family, and community members to counter false narratives and champion accomplishments and values from House Democrats, it provides an opportunity for ongoing conversation on these closed networks that inoculates voters from harmful dis and misinformation.”

“The spread of disinformation aimed at misleading, dissuading, and suppressing voters poses an existential threat to our democracy,” Muñoz said in the statement. “In addition to traditional social media, we know some communities of color also receive information in closed networks like WhatsApp or WeChat.”

The “In It Together” announcement follows an announcement by the DCCC that the group was investing 8 figures into an initiaitive called “P.O.W.E.R.” which is designed to “persuade and mobilize AANHPI, Black, and Latino communities who are an essential part of the coalition Democrats need to take back the House.”

P.O.W.E.R. includes investments in “research and polling; paid media (print, radio, mail, TV and digital); in-district organizing; voter protection and education; and pushing back against dis- and misinformation aimed at confusing, distracting, and dividing voters of color, especially online,” according to the DCCC’s previous announcement.

“Democrats are committed to bringing responsible governance back to the House so that we can continue the important work of lowering costs, protecting and expanding health care, and delivering for our constituents. We know that voters of color are critical to Democrats’ coalition and the DCCC’s investments highlight our commitment to continuously engaging with communities of color on issues they care about,” DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said in a statement when the investment was announced earlier this month.

Currently, Republicans have the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, but Democrats are looking to flip the lower chamber. The margin is incredibly slim and Democrats only need to net five seats to win the majority.
