After recently experimenting with Claude to write a teen drama, I decided to try using it for something else: creating infographics about our teen dramas.
First up, an infographic about “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Then, an infographic about “Dawson’s Creek.”

Next, an infographic comparing “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Dawson’s Creek.”

After that, an infographic on the evolution of the teen drama genre across our six shows.

And finally, an infographic about TeenDramaWhore.

As you can see, these are hardly perfect. I didn’t give Claude much guidelines — I didn’t say what content to include, what color scheme to use, etc. The original graphics were vertical, but because Substack doesn’t support Claude’s HTML artifacts, I had to take screenshots to turn them into uploadable images and I found that impossible with the portrait orientation due to needing to “scroll” the element to get the full graphic. So I asked Claude to change them to a landscape orientation, and doing so changed the content a little bit. You can see some of the original versions below:
Graphics have never been a big part of TDW and I don’t expect that to change. But it was interesting to see what an AI-powered tool could create based on its knowledge of the genre.
