You know what they say about best laid plans...
They often go awry. And, boy, have they.
I spent much of this year envisioning what I wanted to write for TeenDramaWhore’s fifth anniversary on Substack. It’s such a meaningful milestone to me. As such, I wanted to reflect, as I do every year, on all the teen drama goodness we shared in the last 12 months, but also on TDW’s evolution over the last five years.
Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way in a big, big way.
When I said on August 13 that I was going to “take the next few weeks off,” I truly believed I would be back to posting by mid-September. Instead, my health issues escalated to the point where I had a 10-day hospital stay last month and I am now on medical leave from work.
As I continue to deal with whatever is wreaking havoc on my body, I can’t deliver the anniversary post I wanted. More significantly, I don’t expect that I will be able to do any TDW posts at all for the rest of the year. Best case scenario, that changes, but it’s looking very unlikely right now.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll take a look below at the anniversary posts from years past. They showcase the evolution of TDW on Substack and all that we’ve shared together. They also hold the promise of what, I hope, is still to come.
