Today I am proud to announce that a portfolio of my food writing was awarded first place in the Society for Features Journalism's 2023 competition. For this honor, I owe a debt of gratitude to my Newsday Media Group colleagues, all of whom are unfailingly encouraging and supportive of my work. And congratulations to the other winners in my category, Soleil Ho and Lyndsay Green, both of whose work I greatly admire.
