2022 proved to be a big year for the digital video and broadcast industry as many experts predicted. In January of 2022, we rang in the new year making predictions on our most watched webinar of 2022, Digital Video Trends of 2022, Coffee & Codecs.

Kick off 2023 with MainConcept, Endeavor Streaming & IMG Arena

We are pleased to announce that industry experts Chris White, SVP & CPO, Endeavor Streaming; Lee Radbourne, Head of Streaming, IMG Arena; and Deacon Johnson, Sr. Vice President & Managing Director of MainConcept, will once again be joining our VP Marketing Geoff Gordon on January 26, 2023. In Hot Digital Video Trends for 2023, Coffee & Codecs, ep 4, our guests will revisit their 2022 predictions and make new ones for 2023.

The future of video is being tested today at MainConcept. VVC is the next major video codec, you have already been hearing about it from us, and now it is your turn to try it out. Going Places

This year, we enjoyed being able to travel again, meet in person with our colleagues, go to trade shows, and to top off our year with holiday get-togethers in Aachen and San Diego!

We exhibited at and attended industry events such as the NAB Show 2022 in Las Vegas (and we are already looking forward to the NAB Show 2023), SET Expo in Brazil, IBC2022 in Amsterdam, Inter BEE 2022, and Streaming Media West.

Making Headlines

2022 was a year of impressive technical progress at MainConcept, as well as for many of our partners, including Globo, Avid, Fraunhofer IIS, Veset and BBright. Here are a few of our noteworthy accomplishments captured in press headlines:

Webinars, Webinars, Webinars

There is nothing like taking a deep dive into codec technology with our Product Management team. This year, our technical webinars have featured Nicolai “Nick” Otto, Director of Product Management, and Frank Schönberger, Sr. Product Manager. I’ve had the honor to serve as host on all of them, and always learn something new in the process. Here’s what we covered this year:

In addition, I hosted Pre-NAB Sneak Peeks from MainConcept, Veset, BBright & 8K Association featuring David Thompson, Veset CPO; Lénaïck Boivin, BBright Sales Manager; and Thomas Kramer, MainConcept VP Strategy & Biz Dev.
