Ryan Schwartz is Senior Editor at TVLine.com, where he’s spent more than a decade covering the television industry. He joined the site in 2015, first as an editorial intern while pursuing a journalism degree at Hunter College, before quickly rising to a full-time staff position.
Over the years, Ryan has become a trusted source for breaking news and in-depth interviews with the stars and creative minds behind some of TV’s most popular shows across broadcast, cable and streaming. His exclusive interviews have generated millions of views across TVLine and its social platforms.
A recognized authority on network and streaming comedies, Ryan brings expert insight to everything from the Big Bang Theory universe (including Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage) to Ted Lasso and Only Murders in the Building. A lifelong sitcom enthusiast, his deep love and knowledge of the genre inform both his reporting and analysis.
He also has a long-standing passion for late-night television, shaped early on by David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Saturday Night Live. That passion was evident in his coverage of SNL during the 2016 and 2020 presidential election cycles.
More recently, Ryan’s well-documented obsession with ER inspired his standout coverage of HBO Max’s The Pitt, featuring near-weekly postmortem interviews with series star and executive producer, Noah Wyle.
He currently resides in Queens, New York, with his wife, Kacy.
