President Joe Biden sharpened his attacks on former President Donald Trump Monday, pushing back forcefully against the "big lie" that Trump won the 2020 presidential election.

In America, losers are taught to concede, he said during remarks at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

"He's a loser," Biden said to a round of cheers.

The line puts a finer point on a theme he rolled out during his fiery speech on Friday ahead of the January 6 anniversary, when he said that Trump exhausted every legal avenue available to him to overturn the 2020 election and that the truth was, "I’d won the election and he was a loser.”

On Monday, Biden reiterated that Trump doing "absolutely nothing" on Jan. 6, 2021, as a violent mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in a deadly riot, was "among the worst dereliction of duty by any president in American history."

Those pushing the "big lie" that Trump won have no respect for the 81 million people who voted the other way, the president said, for his candidacy.

"In their world, these Americans, including you, don't count," he said. "But that's not the real world. That's not democracy. That's not America."
