MobMuPlat -- made by Daniel Iglesia -- does a splendid job of converting Pure Data (Pd) patches into iphone apps. Step one, design your GUI using a drag and drop tool written in Java, which runs great on MX Linux. Step two, test your Pd patch in the GUI editor (in Lock mode) by including your Pd filename and making sure to open the MobMuPlat Pd wrapper. Step three, note the slider and toggle names, etc... and transfer those across into your original Pd patch using -
- receive fromGUI
- list trim
- route /mySlider (or myToggle etc...)
objects. Lastly, archive the GUI layout and updated Pd patch into a zip file, email it to your phone and allow it to be opened in the MobMuPlat environment. Now, you can easily take those synthetic campfire sounds wherever you go and have fun adjusting the crackle.
