It's safe to say that Gov. Phil Murphy is going to have a lot of ground to cover in the annual New Jersey State of the State address, which he is scheduled to deliver on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The address will be pre-recorded, adding yet another wrinkle to a speech usually delivered at the State House in Trenton. At 1 p.m., it will be streamed to the governor's official Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

It will also be hosted on the USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey sites. Following the address, those same sites will also be home to analysis from our politics reporters, breaking down everything you need to know.

According to a press release from the state, Murphy will be focusing on the state's continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the post-pandemic economy, and improving the lives of the middle-class economy. This will be Murphy's final address of his first term as governor.

“Although wounded deeply, we enter 2021 tougher than ever, wiser than before, and ready to move forward together,” said Murphy in the press release. “Despite the ongoing pandemic, our mission has not changed. This year’s State of the State address will focus on the public health challenges ahead while charting a path forward to build a stronger, fairer, and more resilient economy that works for every New Jersey family.”
