Aylesbury chip shops keep on doing good

An Aylesbury chip shop are putting their award winnings for their charity work to good use as well.

The Codfather were given an award for their 'pay it forward' scheme for foodbank users during lockdown and got £500.

Now they are giving that to Aylesbury Foodbank as more food vouchers to give to those in need.

Managers Juliano Brito, Matthew Marks and Peter Marks said:

"Over the past couple of weeks we have been thinking of what to do with the prize and it has become clear to us that we want to do some good with it, so we will be donating the full £500 as food vouchers to the Aylesbury food bank!

"It's In the hope that we will once again put a smile on people's faces, especially those that may not be able to afford themselves a fish & chips treat at our stores."

They said they are reaching out to everyone so that they can spread the word and in turn, raise more awareness during these continuing difficult times.

The team added that they would not have been able to achieve this without the generosity of their customers and community as a whole.

They added:

"Our efforts will not stop here and we will carry on bringing the community together to help those less fortunate than us and our most impacted during these unprecedented times we are in."
