Collections are a great way to curate your content on your portfolio into different categories. Each collection appears as a tab on your portfolio:
If you have only one collection on your portfolio, there is no need for any tabs because visitors can’t switch between different collections (as there is just one).
Therefore, instead of the collections tab, the search and filters bar will be extended and fill the space where you usually find the collections tabs. This applies on your public portfolio only, your portfolio editor will still show you your single collection in a tab, with the option to add more (click on the picture to enlarge):
